About
Professional Background
Rooted in Comprehensive Experience and Accreditation
My professional journey started out as a boatyard fitter onto a degree in Small Craft Design from Newcastle University, followed by significant roles with leading UK boatbuilders, Shipyards, Royal Navy and international assignments.
I have worked in roles from boatyard fitter, to Naval Architect to lead ISM auditor and Lloyds lead specialist Surveyor and Trainer.
I have been involved both in designing, building, modifying, repairing ships, boats and sailing yachts. GRP repair specialist ranging from major minesweeper repairs to standard collisions.
These experiences have afforded me an in depth pragmatic understanding of Marine engineering, Naval Architecture, Materials and what is required for safety.
Chartered Engineer with Royal Institute of Naval Architects and accredited by MECAL, YDSA, & SCMS. My commitment to excellence in marine surveying is both recognised and respected within the industry.
